Snowpack - The winter of 2012 is off to a dry start. We'll find out just how dry from the California Department of Water Resources, which conducted the first snowpack survey of 2012 this Tuesday. We'll have an update from Maurice Roos, Chief Hydrologist, Division of Flood Management for the California Department of Water Resources. We'll also speak about what the lack of snow means for tourism and winter sports in the Sierra Nevada mountains with Andy Chapman, Director of Tourism for the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association, and we'll find out what the lack of a snowpack will mean for California farmers with the Director of Water Resources for the California Farm Bureau Federation, Danny Merkley.
Love, Sex and the Brain - It turns out the brain is the most important sex organ. A new book explains how our minds determine when, why and with whom we fall in love, and the way we love those people. We'll talk about all this with Judith Horstman, Sacramento author of "The Scientific American Book of Love, Sex and the Brain."

The I Street Press Community Writing and Publishing Center is now offering writing and publishing classes, and access to its book printing machine for would-be self publishing authors. We'll speak with Kate Asche who helped organize the classes at the center and Rivkah Sass, Director of the Sacramento Public Library's new I Street Press Community Writing and Publishing Center.
